<short_description>Loads games from USB-devices</short_description>
<long_description>USB Loader GX is a libwiigui based USB iso loader with a wii-like GUI. You can install games to your HDDs and boot them with shorter loading times.
The interactive GUI is completely controllable with WiiMote, Classic Controller or GC Controller.
Features are automatic widescreen detection, coverdownload, parental control, theme support and many more.
Download the latest version from the official downloads page.
Extract the 7z file you downloaded with 7zip (or another compatible program). The apps folder from the zip should go in the root of your SD card.
You can now run USB Loader GX with the Homebrew Channel
If you want, you can download the forwarder channel and install it with a WAD manager.
This will give you a USB Loader GX channel in your Wii menu so you can launch it directly.
Ripping Games
USB Loader GX will automatically detect when a disc is inserted in the system and offer you to rip it to the hard drive.
You can also press the + icon on the bottom left (on the default theme) to get this menu.
Usb Loader Gx Instructions
Configurable USB Loader: Use version 70r78 or above. Under Global settings change the 'Default Gamecube' option to Nintendont. Alternatively change the Boot Method to Nintendont under the game's options. USB Loader GX: Under Loader Settings change GameCube Mode to Nintendont. Alternatively change GameCube Mode under a game's 'Game Load' settings. It stems from the USB drive not activating properly when your Wii is turned on from standby mode (amber/yellow power LED). The easiest workaround for this is whenever you plan on using USB Loader GX, press and release the power button so the LED turns green. Then, press and hold the power button until the LED turns red. Then, press and release the power button to turn the LED green. Your Wii wil now boot and you can use USB Loader GX without any issues. I inherited a Wii with an external hard drive full of games and it uses usb loader gx to play everything on it. I just installed the hackmii installer on my 4.3 wii that I've had sitting around her for a while. I want to have all the same homebrew apps as the working one. Will I be able to clone the existing external drive to another?
